For many years, I cringed at the thought of any upcoming holiday. Birthdays, mothers day, Christmas, no matter what the occasion, a narcissistic parent will try their best to steal away joy. Set yourself free and understand that you are only crippled by the pain you allow them to project upon you! Then, and only then, can you come to the realization that they don’t have the ability to hurt you the way they intend to. Life is too short!
